Description

École de kano: érudits -japon 18ème/19ème siècle. Grand paravent à six panneaux, encre, couleur et feuille or sur papier; représentant des personnages rassemblés dans une élégante villa de montagne, observant un calligraphe( à droite), étudiant avidement des peintures sur rouleaux au centre, et avec un érudit arrivant sur un bœuf, à l’extrême gauche (quelques dommages et restauration). Dimensions350 cm largeut X 168 cm h. Provenance: bonhams San Francisco, foot notes propriété d’un musée de la côte ouest americaine. (restorations.).

Large six-panel folding  screen, ink, color, mica and gold leaf on paper; depicting  gentlemen gathered at an elegant mountain villa, observing a calligrapher at right, avidly studying scroll paintings at center, and with an elderly scholar arriving on an ox, at far left (some damage and restoration).
